With the temporary absence of a dedicated rendering solution in the Bunkspeed line-up some have been enticed by generous discounts on their more expensive animation product – HyperMove. See below an image submitted by Roger Reid, Rogers comments also:
“This is a render I did for a customer yesterday who wanted to get an idea of the sizing and placement of a new logo. I modeled the head and tuning pegs in SE and rendered in Move. The HDRi was a free download as was the maple texture. The strength of Move in this case was the ease of applying the decals – a pain in VS+.“

On thing of interest on this model was the ability to apply a colour and texture to the decal. As you can see, the model is not represented accurately in that the descal is matt – in real life this would be under the lacquer and therefore refectant. The purpose of the model was to show the decal clearly, so I applied the decal using the “stencil” option, thus allowing me to give it its own set of attributes – in this case a matt black. I get a fairly varied set of projects, so I appreciate this type of flexibility.
